Australasian Business Intelligence, January, 2007

Jan 07, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A new study has found that 75 of Australian medical students believe that there is not enough emphasis on anatomy. Physiotherapists and chiropractors spend up to 20 of their courses on anatomy, while medical students may spend only five per cent. A former director of anatomy at Macquarie University has been critical of the lack of commitment to dissection, claiming that today's future doctors have no understanding of basic structures like the musculo-skeletal anatomy.
