ERG tight-lipped on $26m smartcard deal with porn site boss.

Jan 07, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- ERG reports it is satisfied with contract terms for a smartcard deal in the Philippines involving controversial businessman James Mackay. The $A26 million deal with First Versatile Smartcard Solution Corp, or VersaCard, provides operators with access to the Filipino cash payments and banking system using ERG technology. Mackay, former chairman of First Versatile and still believed to have retained an interest, has been pursued by the US Securities & Exchange Commission in relation to Sure Trace Security, World Gaming and pornographic web sites.
