Jan 01, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The year 2006 was a solid one for Australian real estate investment trusts. Westfield was a stellar performer, but other property trusts also did well. On 29 December 2006, there was strong buying of REITs. Investors flocked to buy shares in Macquarie Goodman, Centro Properties, Stockland, GPT and Mirvac.
