Sony finally announces PlayStation 3 launch date.

Feb 01, 2007 (Inside Retailing - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian video game addicts have finally got a date for the launch of the Sony PlayStation 3. Sony announced in late January 2007 that the new console will go on sale in all PAL regions around the world on 23 March 2007. The recommended retail price for the Play Station 3 in Australia will be $A999.95, while it will sell for a recommended $A1199.95 in New Zealand. Australian retailers had been hoping that the Play Station 3 would be released in time for Christmas 2006, but its launch was delayed.
