Hyperlinks face the music.
Australasian Business Intelligence, February, 2007

Feb 01, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An appeal will be launched against a Federal Court of Australia judgment concerning copyright and website hyperlinks. The December 2006 ruling concerned a website called MP3s4FREE, which featured hyperlinks to websites which permitted internet users to download music files that were subject to copyright. The court ruled that the site's owner, Stephen Cooper, as well as the company that hosted the website and a director of the ISP were liable for copyright infringement, even though Cooper's site itself contained no copyrighted material.
