Feb 07, 2007 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Macquarie University vice-chancellor, Steven Schwartz, has seized control of documents and artworks in a dispute with his predecessor Di Yerbury. Schwartz commissioned Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu to examine Yerbury's salary and leave entitlements, which included 80 weeks' leave, with the ownership of a $A12.9m art collection and board appointments also scrutinised. An interim report found a number of irregularities, especially in regards to the ownership of artworks that have been incorporated into the university's collection.
