Feb 22, 2007 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Weight-loss drug Xenical can no longer be advertised in Australia. The National Drugs & Poisons Scheduling Committee made the ruling on 22 February 2007. It said advertising was putting pharmacists under pressure to sell the drug, which can cause health problems if not used correctly. Xenical was intended only for the seriously obese but it is routinely sold to many young girls in normal weight ranges, according to consumer lobby group Choice.
