Mar 07, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- There are plans to develop a university precinct in the Sydney CBD. The listed group, IBT Education, plans to spend $A16 million to turn office buildings above Sydney's Wynyard Station into a CBD campus. The area will become an education precinct, and there will be a new city college which IBT will run for Macquarie University. All of the shops and facilities linked with a university will be located in this space. CB Richard Ellis negotiated a long lease on the buildings and will refurbish and tenant the buildings. The first of the educational facilities will be open by June 2007.
