Mar 11, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An increasing number of Australians are heading US and UK universities. Michael McRobbie has been elected as president of Indiana University in the US, and will take up his position on 1 July 2007. He is well regarded for his academic administration and his global vision. Australians have also been appointed to lead City University in London, as well as Lancaster University and the University of Manchester. The appointments reveal how higher education has become globalised and the success of Australians in the international market.
