Janet Alshouse, a senior vice-president at Fox News, visited Australia in March 2007 for a conference. She is proud of the success of Fox News, which is giving groups like CNN a run for their money. Fox News is part of News Corporation. It was launched in 1996 and it has been very successful, despite its perceived conservative bias on news. Fox News is a star in the ratings and its style has been copied across the globe. Alshouse noted that Fox News takes its journalism very seriously and has never had to retract a story.
