At $17m, who said it's not easy being Green?

Mar 28, 2007 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Phil Green is the CEO of Australian investment bank Babcock & Brown (B&B), which is smaller only than rival Macquarie Bank. Green's remuneration for calendar 2006 was up 38 to reach $A17m, while he also holds stock said to be valued at some $A370m. B&B global head of corporate finance Rob Topfer was paid $A15m in total. Macquarie CEO Allan Moss meanwhile had earnings of $A21.2m. The Hay Group human resources consultancy notes executive pay is rising due to incentives tied to the very strong current profit performance of Australian corporations.
