Mar 29, 2007 (Ragtrader - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Some retailers and industry bodies are reluctant to admit to the growth of "shopper rage". However, research shows that conduct such as screaming, swearing and making threats does occur. A study of shoppers in four countries found that Australians were the most prone to shopper rage. The research was conducted by the University of New South Wales, Queensland University and George Washington University. Poor service was found to be the primary trigger for anger. Some large retailers are training staff on how to handle angry customers.
