Mar 29, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes are the founders of Australian software maker Atlassian. They were jointly awarded the 2006 Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year Award". They began with two products and will add a further two in 2007, and have so far won some 5,000 business clients in 65 nations. About 90 of sales are to European and North American customers, and two Atlassian offices have been opened in the US. The pair did not need to source outside capital, with the firm becoming profitable almost at the beginning. Revenue in 2006 was $A15m, with a target set for 2007 of up to $A22m.
