Less forest please.

Apr 17, 2007 (New Scientist - ABIX via COMTEX) -- New research suggests that planting trees at high altitudes could intensify global warning. Researchers at California's Lawrence Livermore Laboratory found that dark forest canopies at higher altitudes trap more heat than do tundra and snow-covered ground. Meanwhile, the UN's Forum on Forests is about to discuss methods of countering forest loss.
