Apr 17, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Vanguard's Nelson Wicas claims that following the actions of large, well-resourced institutional investors is the key to smart investing. According to Wicas, investors would be wise to incorporate the lessons learned from the past 50 years' worth of investment theory, along with lessons from practical experience in the markets, into their investment strategies. He also says diversification is needed to control risk. Indexing is considered an opportunity to minimise taxes and costs in core portfolios.
