Local universities carve a passage to India.

Apr 17, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australia's tertiary education institutions are increasingly tapping the emerging market of India. They are doing so both by attracting foreign students to Australia and by setting up joint ventures or new campuses on the subcontinent. The latest such deal is a collaboration between Macquarie University and the family-owned Somani Group. The first facilities are likely to be open for business by 2009. Macquarie convinced the industrial conglomerate that there should be a focus on postgraduate study and research as well, not just undergraduate accounting degrees.
