Apr 17, 2007 (Independent Financial Adviser - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The National Australia Bank (NAB) has commissioned a review of back-office positions within MLC, its wealth management unit. Paul Schroder, of the Finance Sector Union, notes that the review is being undertaken by Genepact, a third-party offshore services provider as part of a more general review of NAB back-office positions. Schroder claims that as many as 60 jobs within MLC's back office are at risk of being shifted to India as a result of the review. However, a NAB spokesperson says that the review is just that, and no plans to move any jobs have been made at this stage.
