Westwater chief goes to ground.

Apr 19, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Westwater Property Group's executive chairman, David de Garis, has been unavailable for comment. Rob Jeremiah, of Harwood Andrews, claims that he has been unable to contact de Garis since early April 2007. General manager, Stephen Lawrence, has also failed to return telephone calls and emails to "The Australian Financial Review". Key Westwater creditor, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, has appointed Korda Mentha as receiver. One property agent claims that buyers have been informed that Westwater has "gone bust".
