Optical net researcher chases cash.

Apr 30, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian optical telecommunications researchers are seeking seed funding. It is thought that Sydney University's Centre of Excellence for Ultrahigh-bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CUDOS) wants funding of between $A2 million and $A3 million from venture capitalists. The researchers plan to build all-optical signal processing devices that can be miniaturised on a photonic chip. The seed funding would help to commercialise the technology.
