Apr 23, 2007 (HR Monthly - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Workplace stress is an important issue for Australian employers and employees. It can increase the risk of a number of health problems. Work environment is important. The number of workers' compensation claims for work stress is increasing. There is greater social awareness of stress. Human resources managers should select the right person for the job and train managers to recognise stress. Workplace stress can lead to legal problems for employers as they are obliged to provide a safe place of work.
