Court tells Qantas to get its act together.

Australasian Business Intelligence, May, 2007

May 13, 2007 (Discrimination Alert - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Qantas has been rebuked by the Federal Magistrates Court for not lodging affidavits on time. The Australian airline and its law firm sought an extension toward the end of the day on which the affidavits were due. The court noted that Qantas had three months to lodge the documents and described its tardiness as "extraordinarily unsatisfactory". Magistrate Toni Lucev was also dissatisfied with Qantas' request for further directions on procedural issues. The case concerns a discrimination claim lodged by Kevin Abrahams, who says he was discriminated against due to physical impairment.
