Xbox sights wider audience.
Australasian Business Intelligence, May, 2007
May 13, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- US-based Microsoft aims to broaden the market for its Xbox console with new games. On 11 May 2007, it unveiled a new action game, "Halo 3". Shane Kim, the head of Microsoft Game Studios, says two new games are being produced that are aimed at a broader market. Microsoft launched a game for casual users in 2006 but it did not sell well as the price of the Xbox is too high for casual players. However, Xbox's elite product has sold well in spite of its high price.
