Oil bubbles up over tensions in Nigeria.

Australasian Business Intelligence, May, 2007

May 13, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Oil prices are rising again in mid-May 2007. The International Energy Agency (IEA) has warned that supplies are tighter because of political unrest in Nigeria. In New York, the price of light sweet crude for delivery in June rose by $US0.56 to $US62.37 a barrel. Mild weather in the northern hemisphere and lower expected demand from China had led the IEA to reduce its forecast for global demand in 2007. However, concerns are now being raised only weeks before the commencement of the summer driving season.
