Blackstone teamwork helps net Equity Office.

May 03, 2007 (International Tax Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Blackstone's acquisition of Equity Office is the biggest buyout in history. The tax aspects of the deal were quite complex. Law firm Simpson Thacher Bartlett and accounting firm Deloitte handled tax for Blackstone. Mike Carnevale, a Deloitte partner form the Blackstone team, says one of the most important aspects of the deal was speed. Simpson managed to do due diligence on the Equity Office transaction in 12 days.
