IBM takes biggest slice of Customs cake.

May 07, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- IBM has won the tender to provide extensive IT and network support to the Australian Customs Service. The 7 May 2007 announcement replaces EDS as the principal supplier but has Telstra and Cybertrust providing internal communications and internet security respectively. The value of the deal was not disclosed, pending contract signings in June. Customs hopes to obtain greater innovation from the new suppliers.
