Collective bargaining jargon.

Australasian Business Intelligence, May, 2007

May 16, 2007 (ACCC Update - ABIX via COMTEX) -- In most instances, collective bargaining, where it involves small businesses, is illegal under the Trade Practices Act. This is because the idea of allowing normally competing businesses to combine in order to negotiate with a supplier would be considered anti-competitive and therefore bad for business. However, there are some situations where the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) will allow small businesses to engage in collective bargaining, provided it has received prior notice of their intention to do so.
