May 16, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian universities are anticipating funding from the May 2007 Budget in support of recent relationships with construction companies. The University of Queensland and the Australian National University are planning redevelopments with Baulderstone Hornibrook. Curtin University is working with BHP Billiton, RMIT has sold land to Grocon for a new academic building, and Monash University is working with Equiset and the Plenary Group. Under the 2007 Budget scheme, the Australian Government will match funding raised by universities as part of an endowment fund.
