May 16, 2007 (Money Management - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Experience in Asian markets has helped Platinum Asset Management in the 2007 "Fund Manager of the Year" awards. The awards are presented by "Money Management" in association with the Investment Management Consultants Association. Platinum took out the award in the "Asia" category from Maple-Brown Abbott and Aberdeen Asset Management. Andrew Clifford, Platinum's deputy chief investment officer, says he has been working in Asian investment markets for 19 years, and its MD has even more experience.
