Microsoft casts Silverlight onto web 2.0.

May 21, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Microsoft is trying to regain some position and credibility in the internet sector by releasing a multi-platform streaming software called Silverlight. The May 2007 release is significant for functioning across different software operating systems, a position Microsoft is not renowned for. Silverlight integrates with internet browsers to provide full-screen, high-definition video, especially through high-bandwidth internet connections.
