Technology group shatters hope of united front.

May 20, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australia's technology suppliers and resellers have withdrawn their support for an industry statement. The "10-Year Vision Strategy" to be released by National ICT Australia on 21 May 2007 is ultimately aimed at assisting industry groups to gain representation on the Australian Government's peak technology policy setting group. However, the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has indicated that it will not support the document. AIIA represents an estimated 500 technology vendors operating in Australia, including Cisco and Microsoft.
