May 30, 2007 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian aged care operator Primelife has been effectively taken over by investment bank Babcock & Brown (B&B). As part of the $A200m deal, Primelife will change its name to Babcock & Brown Communities Group (BBC), and will become one of B&B's listed trusts to be managed by the investment bank. The rejuvenated company will also acquire the Primeliving Trust and Western Australian group Fini. Primelife shareholders will hold 38 of BBC, new stapled securities holders 48, MFS 4, and B&B 10. Shares in Primelife declined $A0.005 to $A1.145 on 30 May 2007.
