Top dollar for domain name.

May 31, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Boomerang.com.au has paid a substantial amount for the internet domain name jobs.com.au. The company was put on the market for sale by administrator McGrath Nicol & Partners Services. Boomerang CEO, Peter Andronicos, has confirmed that it has acquired the assets of jobs.com.au, including the domain name, but would not indicate how much it paid. Unsuccessful bidder Now Hiring believes Boomerang spent at least $A200,000 on the domain name. The web address is considered a valuable asset given the boom in online recruitment in Australia.
