Toyota beats Ford at its own game.
Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2007
Jun 03, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Japanese car maker, Toyota, increased its sales in the US by 14 per cent in May 2007. It sold more vehicles than Ford for the third time in seven months. It is challenging the position of Ford as the second-largest seller of vehicles in the US. Ford suffered from falling truck sales, and has reduced low-margin sales to rental companies. Sales for the whole US industry increased by five per cent, with all car makers making gains except Ford.
