Jun 05, 2007 (INTHEBLACK - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A sudden drop in share prices in China, which occurred on 27 February 2007, has frightened investors. Prices have since recovered but analysts expect more volatility. Zhang Taowei, a finance professor at Beijing's Tsinghua University. says fluctuations will continue but the foundations of the Chinese market are sound. Jonathan Anderson, chief economist for Asia at UBS in Hong Kong, is of the same opinion. He expects stock values to rise. The Chinese market has expanded 200 per cent since mid-2005.
