Disability a question of attitude.

Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2007

Byline: Leon Gettler

Jun 06, 2007 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The founder and CEO of the UK's Employers' Forum, Susan Scott-Parker, is a strong advocate of hiring the disabled. She says most of the obstacles disabled people face in getting work are not related to an inability to do a particular job. Rather it is the employer's prejudices against working with someone out of the ordinary, Scott-Parker says. The Employers' Forum focuses on disability issues in the workplace and has 400 member companies, including ABN Amro, Cable & Wireless, Bank of England, Tesco, GlaxoSmithKline and Cisco Systems.
