Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2007

Jun 07, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Peter Hodgson will succeed Steve Targett as the head of the ANZ Bank's institutional banking division. Hodgson was previously the bank's chief risk officer, and has been with the ANZ since 1997. Targett joined the ANZ from Lloyds TSB Group in 2004, and his departure follows a disappointing result from the institutional division for the first half of the bank's financial year. Targett had been touted as a potential successor to ANZ CEO John McFarlane. ANZ shares closed $A0.24 higher on 7 June 2007, at $A29.51.
