IAB: online slump "cyclical".

Jun 11, 2007 (Ad News - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian internet advertising sector earned revenue of $A294 million in the March 2007 quarter. This is according to research conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for the Internet Advertising Bureau, and was down 7.3 per cent on the last quarter of 2006, although up 51 per cent on the same quarter in 2006. Of the various online advertising sub-categories, general advertising suffered the biggest fall in expenditure. Patty Keegan, of the Internet Advertising Bureau, said the decline in revenue from the last quarter was partly cyclical, while noting PwC used a different methodology to the Audit Bureau of Verification Services, its previous research provider.
