[985] Super changes for employers: ATO mailout.

Jun 12, 2007 (Weekly Tax Bulletin - ABIX via COMTEX) -- All Australian employers should soon receive a booklet titled "Super is about to change" from the Australian Taxation Office. However, tax agents who are recorded as being an employer's contact point may receive the booklet rather than the employer. The booklet states a number of changes to superannuation will take effect as from 1 July 2007 that employers need to be aware of, including that eligible termination payments are no generally longer able to be rolled into a super fund, and that any tax file number (TFN) form provided by an employee to an employer must provide their fund with the TFN.
