Colour bind - BP vs Woolies.

Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2007

Jun 12, 2007 (Adbrief - ABIX via COMTEX) -- BP has failed to obtain special leave to appealing a ruling by the Federal Court of Australia in the High Court. In the case, Woolworths successfully challenged the petrol company's right to trademark a certain shade of green. The retailer wants to use the shade of green at its petrol stations. Meanwhile, a new ruling on the dispute between Darrell Lea and Cadbury about use of a certain shade of purple is anticipated by October 2007.
