Networking giant eyes local deals.

Jun 13, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Chinese network equipment maker, Huawei Technologies, aims to increase its share of the Australian market. In 2006, the company increased its Australian revenue by 328 per cent to $A42 million. It has won a number of deals with Australian telcos for the provision of equipment, including hardware for Singtel Optus's high-speed broadband network. It has also gained supply contracts with Australian carriers at a consumer level. Huawei expects to double its sales in Australia in 2007.
