Jun 18, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- CA's Australian arm reported a drop in sales for 2006 but other activities made it post an after-tax profit of $A34.77 million, a 54.4 increase. On 18 June 2007, Tony Armfield, CA's Australian managing director, said that the success in the region was based on investments in research and development.
