Jun 19, 2007 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Private equity groups could win Symbion Health's pharmacy business with a higher offer. Healthscope's $A2.8 billion bid for Symbion included a $A1.043 billion offer by Ironbridge Capital and Archer Capital for the pharmacy and consumer businesses. Sigma Pharmaceuticals and joint venture partners have finally entered a $A1.085 billion counter-bid for the businesses in mid-June 2007. The two private equity firms are expected to make a higher offer again, with a proposal needed by 20 June.
