Symbion Health battle takes new twist.

Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2007

Jun 20, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Sigma Pharmaceuticals is still trying to take control of Symbion Health's consumer and pharmacy businesses. However it has been told its improved offer may not be accepted. On 20 June 2007 private equity firms Ironbridge Capital and Archer Capital topped Sigma's earlier offer of $A1.085bn by just $A1, although dropping a break fee would give Sigma shareholders a $A10m benefit. Sigma's board supported the offer. Symbion responded with an improved bid of $A1.105bn but the private equity companies have the final right of reply under an earlier agreement.
