Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2007
Byline: Andrew Burrell
Jun 20, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Former Alinta CEO Bob Browning says he was surprised at the level of anger over the failed management buyout. He says the media treated the case very differently to the role of the Qantas board in a takeover bid at around the same time. Browning, credited with building Alinta into Australia's biggest energy infrastructure company, is returning to the US. He will run the US operations of Australian shipbuilder Austal in Mobile, Alabama.
