Rise in graduates' starting salaries shows their worth.

Jun 21, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The starting salaries of Australian mining engineering graduates continue to increase. Average salaries for graduates of the school of mining engineering at the University of New South Wales are expected to rise to over $A100,000 in 2007. Final year students are open about the salaries and the enticements that they are offered by companies. Strong demand from school leavers has led to a cap on places for 2008. There is a growing number of female graduates.
