Top Fairfax jobs going to former Rural Press chiefs.

Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2007

Byline: Nick Tabakoff

Jun 24, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Fairfax Media has been appointing senior managers from Rural Press following its merger with the rural publisher. The newspaper publisher was criticised by the Media Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA) on 22 June 2007 for appointments such as Lloyd Whish-Wilson, who replaced senior journalists of "Canberra Times" with junior journalists when employed by Rural Press. The MEAA's Mark Ryan also fears his regional newspaper experience is incompatible with metropolitan dailies.
