Jun 25, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Staff at National Australia Bank (NAB) were told in May 2007 that the offshoring of some IT tasks would be tested. On 25 June, NAB confirmed that it will be relocating the maintenance of a mainframe application to India-based Satyam. A second mainframe application is gradually being relocated to Infosys in India. NAB managers from many business sectors visited India recently and an internal document says that offshoring will become more important to the bank.
