Global nerves spark local sell-off.

Jun 27, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian sharemarket lost ground on 27 June 2007, with the S&P/ASX 200 falling 124.4 points to 6,184.2. The broader All Ordinaries Index retreated 120.7 points to close at 6,216.6. Heavy selling of futures contracts and hedge funds rebalancing their share portfolios contributed to the market's slide, its largest one-day fall since mid-March. Coca-Cola Amatil was down $A0.28 at $A8.99 and Transfield Services fell $A0.51 to $A10.75. However, Incitec Pivot was up $A1.91 at a new high of $A74.51.
