Jun 28, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Institutional investors were active in the Australian sharemarket in late June 2007. Perpetual Investments has been rebalancing its share portfolio, purchasing stocks such as Metcash, Maxitrans Industries and Commander Communications. Meanwhile, it has reduced its stakes in Nick Scali and Adelaide Brighton. Likewise, Colonial First State has sold down its stakes in Olympia Resources, wotif.com and Asciano, and purchased shares in Fairfax Media, Avastra and Toll Holdings.
