Jul 02, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The University of New South Wales (UNSW) launched a leadership program for women academics in March 2006. The UNSW's equity and diversity unit gained more applicants than expected and feedback has been positive, according to the UNSW's Nicky Buttery, the senior HR manager for culture and strategy. UNSW vice-chancellor, Fred Hilmer, and deputy chancellor, Gabrielle Upton, support the Academic Women in Leadership Program.
